Ingredients
Ribs
1 rack baby back ribs (2–2 1/2 lb)
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
Coca-Cola Sauce
1 cup Coca-Cola
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
Corn or Potato Side (Optional)
2 ears corn, halved, or
1 lb. potatoes, cut into wedges
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions
Step 1 – Preheat oven Preheat your oven to 300°F. Low and slow is the whole game here, don’t rush it. (this is where tenderness comes from)
Step 2 – Prep the ribs Flip the ribs over and remove the thin membrane on the back using a knife and paper towel. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, then rub it all over both sides. (press it in — don’t just sprinkle and hope)
Step 3 – Wrap and bake Place the ribs on foil and wrap tightly so no steam escapes. Put on a baking sheet and bake for about 2 1/2 hours until tender. (if they’re not tender, they just need more time)
Step 4 – Make the Coca-Cola glaze In a small saucepan, combine Coca-Cola, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder. Simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy. (this is what makes them different)
Step 5 – Make the side Roast potatoes at 425°F for 30–35 minutes or cook corn for 10–12 minutes until lightly charred. (color = flavor)
Step 6 – Sauce the ribs Remove ribs from foil and brush with the Coca-Cola sauce. Keep it light — you can always add more. (glaze, don’t drown)
Step 7 – Broil finish Broil for 3–5 minutes until the sauce bubbles and caramelizes. Watch closely. (this is where people mess it up — don’t walk away)
Step 8 – Rest and serve Let ribs rest 5 minutes, then slice and serve with sides. (messy is part of it)
Rizz Tip
“Get a little sauce on your fingers, look at them, then smile like you don’t care… ‘you might need to help me with that.’” 😏
