Baka Ramen (Why You Like Me Now?) 🍜

Yield: 2 servings
Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes
Estimated Calories: ~720 per serving
Estimated Protein: ~40g per serving

Ingredients

Base

2 packs instant ramen
3 cups water

Meat (pick your vibe)

1/2 lb thin sliced steak or chicken thighs
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. soy sauce

Upgrade

1 Tbsp. butter
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 eggs

Flavor Boost

1 tsp. soy sauce (extra)
1 tsp. chili oil (optional)
1/2 tsp. sesame oil (optional)

Toppings

2 green onions, sliced

2 sliced and saute mushrooms
Optional: sesame seeds, cheese slice, nori, chili flakes

Directions

Step 1 – Cook the meat first (don’t skip this)
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add a little oil, then your steak or chicken. Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Cook for about 4–6 minutes until browned and cooked through. If using steak, don’t overcook — you want it tender. Remove from pan and set aside. (this is what turns ramen into a real meal)

Step 2 – Start the broth
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, drop in the ramen noodles and cook for about 2 minutes so they loosen up. (don’t fully cook yet — we’re building flavor)

Step 3 – Upgrade the broth (this is the move)
Add the seasoning packet (or half if you don’t want it too salty), butter, garlic, and a splash of soy sauce. Let it simmer for another minute so everything melts together. (butter + garlic = instant “why is this so good”)

Step 4 – Add the eggs like a pro
Crack the eggs directly into the broth. Let them cook gently for 2–3 minutes. Don’t stir — just let them sit so the whites set and the yolk stays soft. (runny yolk = free sauce upgrade)

Step 5 – Bring it all together
Add your cooked meat back into the pot and let it warm through for about a minute. Taste the broth — add chili oil or sesame oil if you want more depth. (this is where you adjust, not earlier)

Step 6 – Finish and plate
Pour into bowls and top with green onions and whatever extras you’re using. Serve immediately while hot and slightly chaotic. (this is not a clean dish — embrace it)

Rizz Tip

I could make you ramen… or we could just skip to the part where you like me.
