Ingredients

6 eggs
1 avocado
1 tsp lime juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Optional
paprika
green onion
cilantro
red pepper flakes

Directions

Step 1 – Boil the Eggs Correctly

Place the eggs into a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then immediately lower the heat slightly and let the eggs simmer for about 10–12 minutes. (Starting with cold water helps the eggs cook more evenly instead of shocking them immediately.)

Once cooked, transfer the eggs directly into ice water to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.

Step 2 – Build the Filling Smoothly

Peel the eggs carefully and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them into a bowl with avocado, lime juice, garlic powder, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mash everything together until creamy and smooth. (The avocado makes the filling feel richer and fresher without needing heavy amounts of mayo.)

You want the mixture creamy enough to pipe or spoon easily into the eggs.

Step 3 – Fill the Eggs Neatly

Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites evenly. (Neater filling instantly makes simple snacks feel more intentional and satisfying.)

Top with paprika, green onion, cilantro, or red pepper flakes if desired.

Step 4 – Balance Creamy With Freshness

The lime juice and hot sauce help cut through the richness of the avocado and egg yolks so the snack still feels light and fresh. (Good snacks usually balance richness with something bright or acidic.)

The spice level can also be adjusted easily depending on preference.

Step 5 – Build More Satisfying Snacks

Protein-rich snacks tend to feel significantly more filling than snacks built entirely around sugar or processed carbs. Recipes like this help create snacks that actually satisfy hunger instead of just temporarily distracting it. (Feeling full longer is usually a good thing not something to fear.)

These also work especially well for meal prep or quick fridge snacks during busy weeks.
