Ingredients
Beef
1 lb ground beef
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt + pepper

Potatoes
1.5 lb potatoes, diced
1 Tbsp oil
Salt

Directions

Step 1 – Cook the Potatoes First
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add diced potatoes. Spread them out and let them sit for a few minutes before stirring so they start to crisp.
Cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden on the outside and soft inside.

Step 2 – Build the Beef Base
In another pan, heat oil and add the ground beef. Press it down and let it sit for 2–3 minutes before breaking it apart.
This is where your flavor starts, so don’t rush it.

Step 3 – Break and Season
Break the beef into chunks and add garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned, letting some pieces stay in contact with the pan.
You want texture here, not just cooked meat.

Step 4 – Bring It Together
Add the cooked potatoes into the beef pan or combine them in a large bowl. Mix lightly so everything comes together without losing texture.
This is not mashed food, so don’t treat it like it is.

Step 5 – Let It Sit Briefly
Let the mixture sit for a minute in the pan so everything settles and slightly binds together. This gives it a more cohesive texture.
While you wait, hit a quick 15 pushups. No standing around.

Step 6 – Plate Like a Full Meal
Serve in large portions and don’t spread it thin. This is supposed to look like a full plate, not a side dish.
If it looks heavy, you did it right.

Step 7 – Eat With Intent
Sit down and finish the meal without distractions. This is fuel, not something you pick at.
If you’re serious about growing, this is the standard.
