Ingredients
Chicken
1 lb chicken breast
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Base
1 cup jasmine rice (uncooked)
2 cups broccoli

Directions

Step 1 – Build the Base First
Cook your rice using your standard method and let it rest covered before fluffing so the texture finishes properly. At the same time, steam or microwave your broccoli until it’s tender but still has a slight bite so it doesn’t turn mushy.
This is where you shift the ratio—less rice, more volume—so the bowl still feels full without pushing calories too high.

Step 2 – Prep the Chicken Cleanly
Pat the chicken dry and slice it into even pieces so everything cooks at the same pace. Season all sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, pressing it in slightly so it sticks during cooking.
Even cuts and even seasoning are what keep this from feeling inconsistent or rushed.

Step 3 – Cook with Control
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high and add the chicken in a single layer. Let it cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until lightly golden before flipping, then finish cooking the other side until just done.
While it cooks, hit 15–20 pushups. Staying lean doesn’t mean lowering standards it just means being smarter.

Step 4 – Don’t Overcook It
Keep an eye on the chicken and pull it off as soon as it’s fully cooked. Lean cuts dry out quickly, so timing matters more here than in bulk meals.
If it still looks slightly juicy and not chalky, you’re right where you want to be.

Step 5 – Build the Bowl Properly
Add rice first, then broccoli, then the chicken on top. Keep everything layered instead of mixing it right away so the bowl looks clean and balanced.
When food looks full, it feels more satisfying even before you take a bite.

Step 6 – Add Light Flavor
Add a squeeze of lemon or a small amount of hot sauce if needed. Keep it light so you don’t undo the calorie control you just built.
You’re enhancing the meal, not covering it up.

Step 7 – Eat and Move On
Sit down and eat the full portion while it’s warm. Don’t stand around picking at it or mentally negotiating with yourself.
This is how you stay consistent without feeling like you’re dieting.
