Ingredients
Chicken
1 lb chicken
1 Tbsp oil

Sauce
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt + pepper

Rice
1 cup jasmine rice

Optional Salad

Estimated Calories: ~120 per serving
1/2 cucumber, sliced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Salt + pepper

Directions

Step 1 – Build Your Base First
Cook your rice using your standard method and keep it covered so it stays warm and ready. Let it rest before fluffing so the texture finishes properly.
This is your foundation, so don’t rush it just because the rest is quick.

Step 2 – Cook the Chicken Cleanly
Season the chicken and cook it over medium-high heat until browned and fully cooked. Let it sit undisturbed long enough to develop some color before flipping.
While it cooks, knock out 15 pushups. You’ve got time and you’re already standing there.

Step 3 – Make the Sauce the Right Way
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Taste it and adjust so it actually has flavor.
This is one of those sauces that quietly upgrades everything you put it on.

Step 4 – Combine Without Breaking It
Let the chicken cool slightly before adding the sauce so it doesn’t split or lose texture. Either toss lightly or spoon it over the top instead of mixing aggressively.
If it looks smooth and creamy, you did it right.

Step 5 – Plate It Clean
Add rice to your bowl, then chicken, then sauce on top. Keep it layered instead of mixing everything together right away.
It looks better, eats better, and holds up longer if you’re saving it.

Step 6 – Adjust and Move On
Take a bite and adjust with a little more salt or lemon if needed. Eat it while it’s fresh and don’t overthink it.
This is your fix for dry meals and one of the easiest upgrades in the whole book.

Optional salad

Step 1 – Build and Dress
Add the cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion to a bowl. Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice over the top, then add salt and pepper.
Toss everything lightly until coated, keeping it fresh and not overloaded.

Step 2 – Let It Sit and Serve
Let it sit for 2–3 minutes so the flavors come together and the vegetables soften slightly.
Serve fresh and cold alongside your meal to balance everything out.
